Data Grid Section

The Data Grid Section defines further actions, these include:

  • Data Grid Name – The name can be edited.
  • Assigned Category – The category can be changed by selecting another from the drop-down list.
  • Download Template – Downloads the latest version of the Data Grid template to an Excel document. This document will have a default filename (which includes the Data Grid Name), but can be saved with any name.
  • Template Last Updated On – This will display the last date and time the template was saved. If the user has previously downloaded a template, it may be out of date if the template has been changed since their last download.
    • Switching Config Mode ON/OFF – By default Config Mode will be switched on. To upload or manually enter data, Config Mode must be switched off.
    • Config Mode On – Allows the template to be edited, such as adding/removing assets and editing configured columns. No data can be added in this mode and Excel files cannot be loaded into the template.
    • A message will be displayed above the grid, if Config Mode is clicked and there are no assets added to the template. Assets should be added and the template saved before switching Config Mode off.
    • With Config Mode Off, the option is available to browse for an Excel template file, and then click LOAD INTO GRID to load the data from the file.

Grid Options:

  • Activate Row Date Validation – Tick to make a date mandatory for each row in the grid.
  • Check Sub Containers – Tick to search for points 1 level below the Assets/Locations (i.e., at sub container/grandchild level). Even with the tick on, the search is still completed for points directly below the Assets/Locations (child level).
  • Display Date Control / Display Date and Time Control – Whether or not you require the time to be available with the date picker. No time, means a default time of 00:00.
  • Decimal Places – In Config Mode, you can expand the Decimal Places drop-down and choose the number of decimal places that appear in your columns.
